Introduction of ＧＪＯ（Greenhorn Jazz Orchestra）

Ｇｒｅｅｎｈｏｒｎ　Ｊａｚｚ　Ｏｒｃｈｅｓｔｒａ

GJO is amateur big band that have been continuing for more 30 years in Kyoto

Players are　Sax５／Ｔｂ４／Ｔｐ６／Dｒums１／Bａｓｓ１／Pｉａｎｏ１／Guitar1

other members are staffs for Mc, & PA and so on

We mainly try to play Count Basie's tunes

But we have been played many styles of music in many occasions.

This year we had the 15th concert 23rd(sun 16:00〜18:30) on September

at KASUGA kindergarten hall（in KASUGA Shrine）

We are recruiting new member（If you want, please send e-mail）

Why don't you knock the GJO's door, if you want to join us.

We have sub-member system

We usually practice twice in a month.（14:00〜18:00 on Sunday）

Prace studio is in Kasuga Shrine, Saiin Kyoto-city

The name of “Greenhorn” comes from modesty.

　We have been atending Kasuta Festival in every year.
　The procession carried out Nishiooji-Rokkaku to north
　Nishiooji-Gojyo to south, Shijyo-Onmae to east, Shijyo Junior high school to west
　It tooks about five hours.
　The highlight that is MIKOSHI (portable shrine) performance
  can be seen on the crossroad of Nishiooji-Shijyo.
　You never miss it ！ must see ！
　This year, the festival will be held 12th(Sat.) and 13th(Sun),
　The procession including MIKOSHI will start at 12:30 13th on Sunday.
